Motel
A motel is a hotel design for motorists, and usually has a parking area for motor vehicles. Motels peaked in popularity in the 1960’s with rising care travel, only to decline in response to competition from the newer chain hotels which became commonplace at highway interchanges as traffic was bypassed into newly constructed freeways. Motels differ from hotels by their orientation to the outside (in contrast to hotels, whose doors typically face an interior hallway). At Vanguard, we have dedicated commercial appraisers focused on commercial appraisals of all hotel property types, such as motels. Please contact us for any motel appraisal services.
