Green Building
A green building (also known as green construction or sustainable building) refers to a structure and using process that is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building’s life-cycle: from design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition. This requires close cooperation of the design team, the architects, the engineers, and the client at all project stages. The Green Building practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort. Many of which are LEED certified. This stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) which consists of a suite of rating systems for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings, home and neighborhoods.
We have appraised green buildings throughout California and are familiar with the lower operating expenses and how these buildings are traded in the market. We have dedicated commercial appraisers focused on this specific property type. Please contact us for any green building appraisal services.
